My 088-0573-8 umbrella crank assembly needs to be fixed. When it is cranked open, it does not lock in place and keep the shade open, but rather it just spins and shuts the shade. What part do I need? Part number? Where can I purchase it?

Swing hanging on the frame with a hole on the each side gets worn out really fast if u don't continue lubricant, ull need to drill holes again which there is a space for. Manufacture doesn't have replacement idea either! Step 6 at 409

As with any canvas umbrella the material after a while will shrink not allowing it to be cranked up to full height the solution is to hacksaw 1 inch off each individual rod and the unit well then again work properly try not to abuse your crank assembly getting it to do so

After a while the canvas material will shrink. The unit will no longer crank up to its proper height. The solution to this is to cut 1 inch of metal off the end of each rod allowing more slack. Simple fix and The crank will not be abused

Make sure the wiring where the switch is located as not damaged when cutting that one. A lot of people destroy their Crank, or even break the rope when trying to get it to go back up all the way

This was helpful HOWEVER, I would prefer VERBAL instruction as it is assembled because it’s very difficult to watch AND read it at the same time! And the repeating music is distracting to say the least. Helpful but it could be better.

Forget about calling this company for any help. The rep was curt and felt put out indicating that if the umbrella is several years old they don't have any spare parts.

Hello what are the dimensions of the base?

One sand bag split open after few years in storage with sand in it. I stitched it up, so far so good. Have not used it yet, seems like good quality. Don't trust the internal string, crank needed some force (torque, that is) to open up the umbrella. Anticipate it will break, either the crank, gear or string given enough operations. Not easy to move, location is semi permanent unless its dissembled.

Ha this is bullshit. One of holes was so jacked we had to hammer a short bolt in to tighten it. And the instructions are retarded.
